ROSETTA STONE EXCHANGE AND RETURN POLICY FOR PERSONAL EDITION AND HOME EDUCATION PRODUCTS
This document provides information on how to return a Rosetta Stone product. Rosetta Stone’s return policy varies depending upon whether you purchased the product directly from Rosetta Stone or through an authorised retailer, as well as whether you have purchased a CD-ROM product or an online subscription as set forth in further detail below.
Please Note: Rosetta Stone products NOT purchased directly from Rosetta Stone are not covered by this policy and therefore may not be returned directly to Rosetta Stone. Such purchases are subject to the return policy of the party from whom the product was purchased directly.
CD-ROM Product Exchange
- Rosetta Stone will exchange the purchase of a product that you purchased directly from Rosetta Stone via www.RosettaStone.co.uk, telephone, or a Rosetta Stone kiosk or from a Rosetta Stone authorised retailer within 6 months (i.e., 180 days) from the date of your purchase.
- Rosetta Stone will exchange the Audio Companion™ product when it is returned with Version 3 software. This purchase must have been made directly from Rosetta Stone through www.RosettaStone.co.uk, telephone or a Rosetta Stone Kiosk within 180 days from the date of purchase.
- All materials included in the product must be returned undamaged to exchange such product. You must return the application disc, the language disc, the headset, the user’s guide, the curriculum text (except Pashto), the Audio Companion™disc, and the original packaging.
- You must provide proof of purchase – a copy of your original sales receipt, credit card statement, or cancelled check.
- Only 1 exchange is permitted for each purchase.
- The 6 month exchange period does not renew or extend the time of exchange. For return purposes, the original purchase date applies to the new product that you have exchanged.

- Allow 4 -6 weeks for the exchange to be processed.
CD-ROM Product Return
- Rosetta Stone will return product purchased directly from Rosetta Stone via www.RosettaStone.co.uk, telephone or a Rosetta Stone kiosk within 6 months (i.e., 180 days) from the date of your purchase.
- Rosetta Stone will return the Audio Companion™ product when it is returned with Version 3 software. This purchase must have been made directly from Rosetta Stone through www.RosettaStone.co.uk, telephone or a Rosetta Stone Kiosk within 180 days from the date of purchase.
- The Rosetta Stone return policy does NOT apply if the product is purchased from a Rosetta Stone authorised retailer. You must contact that retailer directly, and the return is governed by the retailer’s policies and terms.
- All materials must be intact in order to receive the refund. Accordingly, you must return the application disc, language disk, user’s guide, curriculum text (except Pashto), and the original packaging.
- Shipping costs, when applicable, will not be refunded. In addition, Rosetta Stone does not provide pre-paid shipping labels for return.
- A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be obtained prior to returning the product. To obtain an RMA number, please contact Rosetta Stone’s Customer Care Department by phone at +44 0808 178 5192, Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM CET or email at: cs@rosettastone.co.uk.
- Rosetta Stone is not responsible for return packages not received. In order to prevent lost packages, we strongly recommend that you choose a delivery service with insurance and/or tracking and delivery confirmation.
- Please allow 4 – 6 weeks for the refund to be processed.
Online Cancellation and Subscription Exchange
- Upon completion of your enrollment for the Rosetta Stone online subscription service, the software is promptly made available for your use. In this situation you do not have the right to cancel your agreement with Rosetta Stone during the seven (7) day cooling-off period which is provided for certain consumer purchases under the consumer protection (distance selling) regulations of 2000 and/or any other similar legislation.
- The online subscription cannot be exchanged or credited for a CD-Rom product. The Audio Companion™ cannot be exchanged when purchased with an online subscription.
- Rosetta Stone will not accept the exchange of the Audio Companion™ product purchased with an online subscription.
- The online subscription language can be exchanged for a different language within the term of the subscription.
Online Subscription Return
- Rosetta Stone does not accept returns for online service subscriptions.
- Upon cancellation, the subscription will run to the end of the current billing cycle. The subscription will not be pro-rated or refunded.Audio Companion™ CDs cannot be returned when purchased with an online subscription.
- Rosetta Stone will not accept the return of Audio Companion™ product purchased with an online subscription.
